For example, if you pay for a reservation with a credit card, we would collect the account number in order to process the payment. If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

As part of offering and providing customizable and personalized services, our sites may use†cookies to store and sometimes track information about you. If you do not wish to receive such emails, mailings or telephone calls, you may request that we not share nonpublic personal information about you with nonaffiliated third parties by following the procedure explained in "What choices are available to you regarding collection, use, and distribution of your information" below. We will implement your request within a reasonable time after we receive it.

We may also disclose account information in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be violating the Terms and Conditions or Access Agreement of our sites or may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) our rights or property, users of our sites, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities. Our sites are general audience sites. Children should always ask a parent for permission before sending personal information to anyone online. We do not intentionally collect or share personal information about users under the age of 13. In addition, we will not send any direct email offers to users who indicate they are under the age of 13.

 
8. Our policy for the use of images

All images and/or pictures of properties featured on our sites are our property, and any unauthorized reproduction, appropriation, or distribution of the aforementioned images and/or pictures is prohibited.

 
9. What you should know before uploading your own content

If you upload your own content to our sites or via social media, such as comments, reviews, photos, or videos of your stay at one of our properties, you should note that this content will be accessible by the public at large, and not just by us. Therefore, you should never upload any content that you do not want others to have access to. It is also important that you only upload content that is not identifiable to you personally, such as your email or postal addresses, phone number, names of your children, etc. You should not upload photos of videos that include people that you do not know and/or have their permission to use.

General Policies

Hours

  • Rental check-in: After 4 p.m.
  • Campsite check-in: After 1 p.m.
  • Check-out: Before 11 a.m.

Check-in/Check-out

  • Minimum check-in age is 21 years.
  • Guests under 16 years at the time of check-in are considered children.
  • Early check-in and/or late check-out may be available for an additional fee per option. If interested in either option, contact the management office in advance of your arrival to inquire about availability.

Pet Policy

Pets are welcome.  (Limit 2 dogs per site)  New York State requires all pets over four months of age to be licensed. To obtain this license, owners must provide proof of current rabies vaccination as well as proof of the being spayed or neutered (only if applicable).  Please be prepared to provide proof of vacination or valid NYS pet license on arrival.  All pets must be kept on a leash, cleaned up after, not left unattended, and must not infringe on the peace & enjoyment of your neighbor’s camping experience.  By law pets are not allowed in public buildings; including food service areas,  pool or beach area.  This does not include service animals.

A pet fee of $50 per pet / per stay is charged when renting a cabin.

  • Pets are welcomed. Vaccination records are required upon check-in. There is a $50 per pet/per stay pet fee for our pet friendly rentals.

Reservation & Payment Policy

  • Your credit card will be charged Itinerary Total prior to arrival, up to a maximum deposit of one night rack rate. Any remaining balance is due prior to arrival.
  • Prices and site type are subject to availability.
  • The rates displayed do not include any applicable service fees or charges for optional incidentals.
  • RV sites and lodging typically accommodate four guests.  A guest fee is added per day to the reservation rate for each additional guest over four.
  • By using a credit card for a deposit, guarantee or payment, you agree to the following: if I used a credit card for a deposit, guarantee or payment, I authorize MHC Property Management L.P. to charge any expenses incurred during my stay to that credit card or apply funds you have on deposit with MHC Property Management L.P. against what I owe.

Cancellation & Refund Policy 

  • In the case of multiple sites booked, cancellation penalties apply to each site that is cancelled or changed.
  • No refunds will be issued for early check-out.
  • RV campsites: For stays 1 to 27 days, we allow full refunds for cancellations up to 2 days prior to your arrival date.
  • Rental accommodations: For stays 1 to 27 days, we allow full refunds for cancellations 7 days prior to your arrival date. For guests booking a stay in a rental accommodation located in California of 30 or fewer consecutive days, a full refund will be given for reservations cancelled within 24 hours of booking provided the reservation’s arrival date is at least 72 hours after the time of booking.
  • Long-term or seasonal stays: For stays 28 days to 184 days at an RV campsite or in a rental accommodation, if you cancel or change your reservation up to and including 45 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, we will issue a refund for the amounts paid by you. If you cancel your reservation and provide less than the required 45 days’ notice, you will forfeit your deposit amount. For guests booking a long-term or seasonal reservation in a rental accommodation in California (31 days to 184 days), if you cancel or change your reservation up to and including 45 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, we will issue a refund for the amounts paid by you. If you cancel your reservation and provide less than the required notice, you forfeit your deposit amount.
  • Annual stays: Due to the strong demand for our extended-stay reservations (lasting 185 days or more) and the limited site availability at many of our campgrounds and resorts, we recommend securing an extended-stay site by placing a site holding deposit. This deposit can be made at your convenience and consists of a $150 site holding fee, which is fully refundable under the following terms and conditions. Should an Agreement for Use of RV Site for your extended stay not be fully executed within seven (7) business days (excluding weekends and federal holidays) following our receipt of your $150 site holding deposit, or within any additional time needed between the parties to finalize the Agreement, then the site holding deposit ($150) is fully refundable to your original form of payment. Once we issue your refund, it may take an additional 7-10 days for your financial institution to make funds available in your account. Please contact us at (855) 336-8892 if you have not signed an Agreement for Use of RV Site or received a refund within that time frame. Please note that the $150 site holding deposit secures a site at your selected campground or resort, but does not secure a specific site. A manager or other employee working at that campground or resort should reach out to you after you make the $150 site holding deposit to discuss site location and the execution of an Agreement for Use of RV Site. In order to sign an Agreement for Use of RV Site allowing an extended stay at a campground or resort, you must meet residency requirements for seasonal or annual stays. If you become an annual guest pursuant to an executed Agreement for Use of RV Site, the $150 site holding deposit will then be applied to either the administrative fee (if applicable), or will be credited towards the annual site payment. Advertised rates do not include taxes and fees. Electricity is not included for stays of 30 days or longer. Usage of any seasonal or annual site may be limited to dates that the campground or resort is open. While, if you become a seasonal or annual guest pursuant to an Agreement for Use of RV Site, you may leave your RV on the site year-round, there are restrictions that limit the amount of time you may occupy your RV on the site that vary by campground and resort. Open dates and length of stay vary by campground and resort. Must be a current Thousand Trails member or purchase a Camping Pass membership in connection with seasonal or annual stays at Thousand Trails campground. Amenities vary by campground and resort. Please discuss details with the manager of the campground or resort that you select. Start the process for your longer stay by following this link.

Campground Services & Information 

  • There is a $75 lost key fee for our rentals.
  • All rentals are smoke free. There is a $250 fee for smoking violations.
  • Entrance onto the campground property constitutes permission for the management of Lake George Escape in Lake George, New York to photograph the visitor while on the premises and to use any resulting pictures for any lawful purpose without compensation to the visitor.
  • All guests/visitors assume all risks and danger incidental to the activity of camping in a rustic outdoor environment including specifically (but not limited to), the danger of being injured by insects or other animals, of being injured while participating in recreational activities, such as hiking, swimming or boating at the Camp-Resort and/or being injured as a result of inclement weather conditions, and agrees that the Camp-Resort and its owners, agents and employees are not liable for injuries or property damage resulting from such risks and danger.
  • Visitors/Guests (ages 16 & up) who are staying on sites until 9 p.m. or for day use will be charged $20 per person per day. Overnight guests will be charged $20. No overnight visitors or visitors after 9 pm are allowed unless prearranged with office.
